Nathan Road Hong Kong
Nathan Road is the main road running south-north from Victoria Harbour in Tsim Sha Tsui to Mong Kok.
Famous for its myriad hotels, cheap lodgings such as Chungking Mansions, tailors' shops and restaurants, Nathan Road is one of Hong Kong's most iconic and neon-strewn streets.
Once known as the "Golden Mile", Nathan Road dates from the mid-nineteenth century but is no longer the ritzy place it once was. The street takes its name from the 13th Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Matthew Nathan.
The subway station at Nathan Road's southern end is Tsim Sha Tsui and there are buses heading out to the airport along the way.
